Congrats to Chenshaw and Lumin.

And thanks to Woodfish for organising the comp, and then dragging out the tension by taking a tortuously long time to upload the results,  ;)

The game currently in fourth place is ranked fifth best.

I am the most symmetrical entrant.

Ah yes, I must have had some fleeting moment of craziness. Now amended, sorry to everyone who moves down a place :P

And in award of your symmetricity, Ren, you are awarded... THE TIGER OF SYMMETRY.

Congrats to Chenshaw! Same goes to all others who entered as well.

My apologies to all. I was planning on taking part in judging and reviewing all of the games, but I only had one night to download and play everything. Naturally, that would end up being the night the Adrift site was down.

Aw... damn. I take that back.

Er...

What I actually meant was that all the games from 4 onwards ought to be knocked down a place, but the game that was originally at 7 should move up. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear*.

I expected Chenshaw's to come in first, but I was way off in my guess for second place. (I figured The Road Leads Nowhere would get it...not that I'm complaining about the actual results! :P)

What's really weird is looking at all the numbers...seems like people either really liked or were seriously underwhelmed by my game. Only two were in the middle. Does this mean I get the Banana of Discord? How does that work, anyway?

Yes, it's amazing how much opinion varies, with all the games, really. I mean The Road Leads to Nowhere has everything from a 2 to a 9. The top entries (except my own, which I thought was kind of average) I wasn't surprised by at all, although I did expect David's to place higher.

There some impressive variation on all of the games - especially the 2-8 for Dancing. Even Him, 1-8 for Choose  Your Own Three Hour Adventure and 2-9 for the Road to Nowhere.

Only Herr Doktor. . . and Rolling the Dough had consistent scores (from 4-7).

I was surpised by a couple of the placings, but then I was mostly expecting my two games to finish the other way round, so what do I know.

Edit: and Over the Edge is like an inverse Quest for Food - lots of 2s and 3s and then a couple of 8s.

It's always surprising the way these things come out, and even more surprising to see the way some people voted. But I know from organising a few comps in the past that voting is always kind of bizarre.

Congratulations, everyone! A good comp, I think.

And man I can deal with miscellaneous congratulations for my first shot at a game in a while.
